Setup email clients for your website hosting

Setup email clients for your website hosting

There are two ways to configure your email clients. The first is to use the automated scripts provided on your account login, these will automatically configure Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express for Eith POP3 or IMAP connections. The second way is to configure your email client manually.

Should I use POP3 or IMAP for my connection

If you want to leave copies of your emails on the server and read them via webmail as well as on your desktop email client, then you will want to choose IMAP. IMAP will update the status of the emails in both your webmail and desktop clients, so if you read a mail via the webmail service , when its down loaded to your desktop it will be marked as read and vice versa. If you just down load your mail to your desktop and do not leave a copy on the server then opt for POP3.
